Here are some of my digital works. I don't have time to work on stuff very often. These were taken at auburn in '05 and '06, I think. They are before and afters of a process that is supposed to mimic the results of a camera called a Lomo, which is a Russian knockoff of a really expensive camera. The pictures the camera takes are special by themselves, but often are processed with chemicals for a different film type, which leads to even more interesting photos. I'm not sure how close they come to actually looking like a lomo picture, but they definitely pop.
I can make higher resolution copies available, if anyone is interested.

The Auburns are watercolors. Watercolor is probably my favorite paint as far as working with pictures.
The brown Cord fog/driving lamp is acrylic (which I hate painting with due to the fact that it is water based and we always had to paint it on canvas boards for class projects such as this one.) I initially didn't like this one very much, but grow to like it more as time passes. I was happy that the project was focused on a more realistic look with shading and such, as previous projects in acrylic had been abstract; therefore, boring to me.
The red Cord is a reversal, as my art teacher calls it, where the paper is of dark color (in this case dark red), and all the drawing is done with a light colored pencil.
If you have a chance to look, I have a few other pictures at my website, such as a pencil 32 Auburn Speedster, and some other colored pencil drawings I have done.

I don't need a medium. I need a large or extra large.

I stand corrected, the radiator in the artwork is more like a 1926 and not a 1929-1930 Auburn. I must have been halucinating.

DJ,
Nice pic. I will post a picture this weekend of a later Auburn motometer which may be more period correct for the 1929-1930 radiator shown in the artwork.

Wes - Great Art photos! You bring out some fascinating features of the cars with your interpretations.
DJ - Very nice photos. It's like getting a free airplane ticket to Auburn for the event. Nicely done.

My ACD Art was created by Wes Trail
I have been going to the ACD Labor Day meet at Auburn for the last 8 years. Each year, I try to take pictures of these wonderful cars. I get a vision of them in my head, and can never find exactly what I'm looking for on a Google image search. Anyway, over the years, my high school art class has led to a reproduction of some of these pictures in my artwork. I would like to share them with you and have a chance to let them be seen more widely than the living room walls.
I have the original pictures for many of these on my website in their appropriate categories. Note the pictures there are BIG, so if you have slow internet; be warned! On the upside, they do make nice desktop pictures!
