Chris,
Coincidentally, the "Old Cars Weekly" current online newsletter feautres the long wheelbase Judkins limo, and it does include mention of the Some Like it Hot movie credit. Its a pretty interesting feature about the car's history and how the body was resurrected by George Albright with help from Randy and Fran Roxas.
Here's a link to the website and article.

There are several lists of Duesenberg movie cars out there. You can find lengthy posts on them elsewhere in the forum.
A DTTCC appeared in "She Had To Eat" (1936) with Franklin Pangborn and Jack Haley. It was J-178/2199, which, last I heard, was in the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, CA. J-198/2221, in its restyled "boattail-less" form, also figured in some films.
Without any proof or seeing the movie, I would guess that the "Some Like It Hot" car was Judkins Limousine J-255/2276. This car was used in many, many movies. If you saw the great Centerpiece Judkins Limo in the newsletter a few issues ago, the body on that car is the one from J-255.

Has anyone compiled a list of movies that Duesenbergs have appeared in ????
I have a wonderful friend who has a collection of old movie car stunt props and one of the cars we think is a Model J Murphy Disappearing-Top Torpedo Convertible Coupe. It's late tonight, will post more info when things slow down for me...

Duesenberg in movies was created by ilikescars
I was watching one of my favorite movies, "Some Like It Hot"
with Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis. Toward the beginning of the movie, when the gangsters were in their parking garage, I took immediate notice of a Duesenberg hood ornament on one of the cars. It turned out to be their getaway car at the end of the scene. (It looked like a large sedan)
Normally, a Ford or Packard is used for this purpose in movies.
Thought someone would be mildly interested...
