The wheels don't look right and that rear mounted spare adds nothing at all.

About 15 years ago or so, that car was prepared for the Peking to Paris event or something of that ilk. That's why it has a winch, in case it was needed to pull it out of a mud hole or up an overly steep mountain trail or something.
Unfortunately, the event was canceled and the owner lost his very substantial entry fee.

Thanks as always. According the old ACD Newsletters, this engine was in a boat for a time before finding its way into this replica Tourster by Billings.

Hi All, question - can someone provide the J and/or chassis number for this Derham Tourster that has been modified with a winch on the front of it? These photos were posted recently on Facebook but without the ID numbers. Owned by Buck Kamphausen, or was. The story is it was prepared for a long distance event that then did not take place. Thanks.
