The duesy wheels are Buffalo and 19 inch. I'm pretty sure they are not interchangable. I want to say the L-29 wheels are are 18 inch.

FOR THE RECORD I BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURER OF THE ROAD WHEELS FOR THE L-29 CORD WAS DAYTON OF DAYTON, OHIO. IS THIS NOT CORRECT?
ANOTHER POINT OF HISTORIC INTEREST IS AT WHAT POINT/DATE IN PRODUCTION OF THE L-29 WAS THE ROAD WHEEL WITH HEAVIER GAUGE SPOKES INTRODUCED AND WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE 1ST AND 2ND SERIES SPOKES? CAN SOMEONE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE MARQUE PROVIDE THE ANSWER? THANK YOU.

The wheels are indeed made by Dayton but I can't find a exact date as to when the spoke change was made. Maybe some one else can tell us.

Hi I am new to this forum, are the wire wheels the only option ? the Hayes coupe and a few other L-29's I have seen a disc wheels or are these a cover over the wires, ?? I have also seen an old photo of what looks like an unrestored Brooks Steven speedster with very different wheels.
