Thanks guys I will try the cadmium plating with the Eastwood spray. I still have one from many years back, if no good I will get a new one.

I think that the flat back trunk lid, the bustle back trunk lid, and convertible trunk lid springs are all different.

I believe both are supposed to be cadium plated silver but.. I'm also told that as the end of production they were painted black too. I have seen cad plated ones and they look great. Remember both hood and trunk supports had a spring to lock them in place as they were opened. The trunk had a flat wound spring where the hood had a coil wound spring. Usually the trunk spring breaks and the hood spring ends up missing.

Hood and Trunk props colors was created by Aris Loumidis
Hi all!
My trunk prop is painted grey-silver and the engine hood prop is painted Ivory as is the body color.
Is this the original correct way they should be?
