McMaster- Carr has everything you will probably need in about any material you would like.

Hi Bill,
These days the screw head sizes are standardized. I'm sure you can find these on line. For a lot of these screws I use www.restorationstuff.com . They have a lot of standard sizes and heads.
The two large screws for the headlights are special order. I would have to measure one up to get the size. They should be chrome plated.

A "screwy" question was created by wcoye
I'm finding slotted head machine screws are impossible to find in my local hardware stores, big or small. In searching the web I'm having trouble figuring out the head size for the slotted screws I do find. I 'm just looking to find 2 screws for my transmission cover. Anybody have a reliable source for these? Also what is the proper sized screw for the 2 large screws on our headlights? I think mine might be slightly under sized. Mine have been painted but I'm asumming they should be bright.
