These are the gears I was talking about. On the right is the original DGW in each pic where you see two gears.

Why does the 2nd, third and forth gears have a key-way slot machined into them? These are the DGW gears originally in the 810 812 trans. I purchased a used 2nd gear that does not have this key-way slot and was wondering the usefulness of this. thanks for any answers...
