I have been searching for hardened 7/16" IS Dia. Head Bolt washers for the new set of heads I purchased. So far, I can only find washers that are yellow chromate or black oxide. Were the original washer cadmium plated? Does anyone know of a source of hardened washers that are not yellow chromate or black oxide for the heads? Thanks, Bill

Stan in Wellington Kansas has them. Or any quality bolt supplier will have them.

I think they are the same washers used on Auburns. The ID is easy to find, the OD and thickness is more difficult. I have stainless steel washers in stock that have been colored black as original for Auburn . If you prefer natural the coating can be bead blasted off.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
