FOR CLARIFICATION IT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO THE ENGLISH GENTLEMAN
TO KNOW THAT THE VEHICLE APPEARS IN THE "MASTER CORD LIST" WHICH HAS BEEN COMPILED OVER DECADES BY CORD 810/812 HISTORIAN RON IRWIN. THE LISTING INDICATES THE SERIAL NUMBERS OF
THIS VEHICLE TO BE 32226F AND THE ENGINE NUMBER TO BE FC3007. THE OWNER IS SHOWN AS BEING ONE F. SHOOBRIDGE OF ENGLAND WITH
AN ACQUISITION YEAR OF 1982. THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT THE CAR
IS AN EXPORT MODEL WITH RIGHT HAND DRIVE. BASED ON THIS DATA
THE VEHICLE APPEARS TO BE A 1937 MODEL 812, NOT A 1936 MODEL 810.
IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF PETER NEVILLE COULD SUPPLY US WITH THE
CMC BODY NUMBER WHICH APPEARS ON A SEPARATE TAG ON THE RIGHT
ASPECT OF THE FIREWALL/COWL WITH A PREFIX C 92 XXX. WELCOME TO
THE ACD CLUB , MR. NEVILLE. Sincerely, Jonathan Richards at Red Oak,
Iowa, U.S.A. aka <a href="mailto:[email protected]][email protected][/url]

Jim, Don't forget in UK they call a Coupe the same as what we call a Cabriolet.
The car is coded "F"

Hi Jim
The 1936 Cord 812 Coupe has engine number FC 3007 and serial number 3226F. When I entered the car's details at the time I applied to join the club I gave the engine number as FG 3007 by mistake, but I do not know how to correct that part of my record. I would be happy to post pictures but again I cannot figure out how to do that.
The car belongs to my wife, who inherited it when her late husband - Freddie Shoobridge - died in 1999. I believe he was in touch with members of the club but I have no correspondence to verify that.
Any information you have on the car would be of great interest.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Peter

Hi Peter,
Welcome to the ACD Club. I can't help you with a restorer but I am wondering about your coupe since there are only a few around (one of which is in my garage with a head removed).

Could you post some pictures of it? What is the history of your car? I'm also wondering what the serial engine and body numbers are?

Thanks very much and good luck with getting it going. Keep us posted.

UK Restoration for Cord 812 Coupe? was created by Peter Neville
Hi there
I have just joined the club. I live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands but my 1936 Cord 812 Coupe is in the New Forest in England. I am still working out what needs to be done, but it seems to be mostly cosmetic although I suspect the mechanics will need some TLC because it has not been run for many years.
Does anyone know of a good restorer in the South of England?
Many thanks
Peter Neville
