Josh, Thanks for asking for a picture of my trans cover. I will get one up as soon as I can. My Cord was owned by a Mr W.B.Hamlin of Ontairo Ca who owned several of the famous Turcker cars. He owned the Cord from approx.March 1949 till approx. January 1950. Then it was sold to a Mr Donald E Finnicum of Upland Ca. from approx. August 1950 till my father bought it in 1961 sometime. Its a Beverly sedan with the modifed colume shift that was never completely installed. I still have those parts but have purchased all the factory shift parts so it all original now in that area. All this ownership information is from the letters from Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co of Auburn Indiana letterhead and hand signed by W.T. Hinschlarger Sales Service Manager in 1949. And then signed by E.C. Bartels Directer of Sales from 1950 till the end of corespondance January 1952. I will try to post up these letters because of the historic significance to the car. The prices quoted for parts is really interesting compared to parts prices today..

Thats what my front trans cover looks like. I think it had some chrome lacying on it one time like the rest of the engine compartment louvers has.

You'll find this photo on page 208 of Cord Complete, with caption. (Yes, that's Ab Jenkins with his personal 810.)

I thought the fronts always pointed up and the backs down as obviously someone did not calculate height and they would partially block the taillights on some body styles.

Hi,

Note that the bumper guards point up, not down.
