Guys, you can get the keys from Alex & have a good locksmith modify the
lock cylinder to make the key work. Henry

Here is a photo of a "made for Auburn" key I found on the web. Kinda blurry but you get the idea.

L-29 key blanks have been reproduced by Dick Teeter. Blanks can be reproduced but they are expensive for such a small number.

I have made a many ignition switches as original, the key was a Yale junior, it is correct as Josh states in his post. However, the ignition key should fit the door cylinder as well, glove box and trunk locks are by them self.

On the back side of the Auburn logo on 810/812 keys it says "Yale Junior". There was a newsletter article on keys a few years ago. Check your DVD Archives.

Ignition Key was created by 1748 S
Well I just had two ignition keys made for my car. The were Yale blanks. Are the original blanks available for the Cord or are they long gone. What were they. There is an ignition switch on Ebay with two Hudson keys in it. I was told by the very old and long time key shop I deal with that the Hudson key blank was not what the Cords came with... I have no idea because I never had a key to our car... I tried the ignition key in the passenger door but it does not work that lock. So am I correct to believe these sedans require a key for the ignition, the gas cap door and the passenger door all cut to a differant code... Thanks...
