Not sure if you ever found what you needed but this could be another donor source. Not much left of this one I'm afraid but the cowl looks good:

I have a cord cowl which I've been stubbing my toes on for about 5 years. It has the early style cowl fillers, and the doors are nearly frozen with rust. I had hoped to use it to reproduce the assembly new, so cars which had this style cowl vents could be put back original. I'm not sure if there is enough metal left to use them but we could talk. ( I would have to inspect it, as I bought it to get the dogleg in front of the drivers door, and really haven't payed much attention to the rest of it). call me. 3037664910.
Curt.

This may be similar to what you already have but in case it might help:

Maybe the seller has more remains that could be of use?

There was a cord body for sale on the Seattle Craigslist about a month ago. It was in very sad shape but I don't remember the condition of the cowl area. The ad is not there now but you might try advertising on it and see if he responds.

<!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: --> Well its just as the title says. Some time long before 1961 when we got our Cord someone welded shut the cowl vents.... They made up two pieces of plate to fit the openings and welded them closed probably because the leaked rain water. I only had the two handles to manually operate them.... Nothing more has ever been found under the dash. No linkage, banana springs or any mounts. A few years ago I bought two NOS vents on Ebay from a seller in Ca.. Very glad to get those too. I have finally cut out the plates but what a mess I have. I was very careful with the cutoof wheel but there was not much left of the seal area. So now I'm looking for a fairly complete cowl that I can cut free from a car that will never be road worthy ever. I just could not do this to any Cord that may ever be restored to the road again. Even posting this I feel sick thinking about doing this to a car. So does anyone know of a cord that is so far gone that its just a parts car. I did find one on Ebay last year but I just felt that car was worthy of a restoration so I passed it up. I'm wondering if a Hollywood Graham might be a donor for these parts or the complete cowl. Thanks for any information.
