oil pressure

During some work on a Cord, I noted that some "sludge" collects at the entrance of the oil pressure line in to the oil pressure instrument/gauge. This may influence the reading. You have to take out the oil pressure gauge from the instr. panel and then once off the car also the fitting adapter to get it cleaned.

I nave noticed that my oil pressure reads 15 to 20lbs of pressure while running at 50 to 55 miles per hour and as low 5lbs after it is warn at idle any suggestions as to what the problem may be would be very much appreciated the car runs excellent thank you Rock
