Identifying a Cord was created by Emporator
G'day from Down Under,

I've had a proper scratch around my Cord's stub frame and have found the frame number - it's 600. Boy was it hard to find! Good thing my eyesight isn't too shabby. I'm certain the numbers are just that - 600.

The engine number is FB1887. With the engine number stamping, the first 8 is very lightly stamped - not the entire digit, but just the bottom left-hand corner, so much so that it could be easily mistaken for a 9.

Regrettably, both the cowl plates are missing. Sure would make things a lot easier having them... This Cord is a right-hand-drive one by the way.

Going by the data, is it possible this Cord could be 812 1600 K, with an incorrect engine number entry of FB1987 ? If so, this is one of the two anomalous Westchesters that exported to Australia with the serial suffix K.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
