Thanx for all the ideas--I will be gone for a couple of weeks, but will give it a try when I return. I'll let you know how it turns out.

The hose goes up the drivers side of the car.

Hi Scotty when you remove the Sedan speaker you get access to the vacuumline between the two wipermotors. You may want to disconnect the vacuummlines and spray some WD40 in the lines and give some airpressure ( not more than 3 - 4 Bar ),
open the valves fully, work the wipermotors without wipers on the screen, with airpressure instead of vacuum which probably will lubricate and free up all internal parts of the wipermotors, but not the outer bushes, these need to be dismantled as far as possible and also sprayed with WD 40.
You will probably have to do it several times without reconnecting the lines. let them stand this way for 3 - 4 days.
Just one thing you should calculate : in case the lines have a leak, your headliner may get stained.
In case you put to much pressure on the system the hoses may get pushed off.
You may want to contact a good trimmer anyway to have him creat a accesslid for the wiper motors, coverd in original or closest to original material.
Please let us know what solution you tried and how it worked out. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

I quess I should have noted that the passenger motor works well, the drivers side is slow ( of course it would be the side I like to look out of).
I have replaced all the hose to the point I couldn't reach any further. I also don't want to remove the very old headliner for fear of damaging it. I assume the vacuum hose goes to the right motor first and then to the drivers side so there could be leak between the motors. My thought was that if I could lubricate then I could eliminate that as a cause.
Thanks for the ideas.

If I'm not mistaken the wiper motors are vacuum operated and located behind the sun visors and headliner. Look around below the front windshield posts for a vacuum line. Track the line and see if it has any small holes or cramps in it. All vacuum comes from the intake manifold under the carb somewhere. The throttle plates close down and that suction creates the intake vacuum.

have you ever tryed to remove rain-X ? I do not know of a way to completley remove, unless you replace the glass.
You should have access to the wipermotors anyway, so why not remove them ?

The wiper motors on my sedan are sluggish at best. Anyone have any ideas on how to lubricate them without removing the motors, or should I just double up on the rain-x. Thanx.
