Ric Simpson is pleased to report that his copy arrived on Christmas Day. I want to let everyone know that the poster done by Tom Hale, used by Dean Cruse, in 2008, is a painting of my Cord! The original painting is a light green! I know because it was a Christmas gift from my wife last year and is hanging in my living room. Those who attend this years KooK gathering (see events) will be allowed to view both the Complete Cord, and the Tom Hale painting. here will be a food filled reception at the same time. Ric.

I figured - correctly as it turns out - that Santa did not think I had been THAT good so I had pre-ordered my own copy.

This is Josh's Opus Magnum - just awesome.

I reviewed the book for the next issue of Antique Automobile, finishing with, "The Cord 810/812 turned the automotive styling world upside down. This book, in turn, will have automobile book authors scrambling back to the drawing board."
Nice work, Josh!! Just an incredible book.

It was a thrill to see my car serial number listed among the ranks. Somehow it just made my car seem more real.

I had the same reaction, if not more so. To see evidence that my car really, really, really did come from the factory and is not a 60-year figment of my imagination has made me realize again just how special it is. Someone at the factory recorded MY car's numbers; someone assembling Cords said, 'Here's the next one' about MY car; some several people assembled MY car; someone painted MY car; someone bought MY car brand new--well, you get the idea.

Due to health reasons I have considered parting out The Old Lady to maximize what I could get for her, but not now!! If I do have to sell this car, it is going ALL or nothing! It would just be unconscienable to have a highly restorable car sent off in pieces.

It's a WONDERFUL BOOK, Josh. THANK YOU for writing it!

I to got a copy for christmas also. It was a thrill to see my car serial number listed among the ranks. Somehow it just made my car seem more real. I went out in the garage and felt like getting it down off the lift, and digging in, until my wife reminded me that we had a house full of company, and I was still in my good clothes. The rest of the book left me speechless. Truly inspiring. Great job Josh!

No, but I did get one of Josh's earlier books, "How to Maintain and Enjoy Your Collector Car."

My Dad bought it at a yard sale. For 50 cents. Sorry, Josh. At least your other writings are holding their value well...or maybe that seller just didn't appreciate automotive writing.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone.
