Gentlemen,
Thank you for your kind replys. I have been asked for the Vehicle ID Number. Unfortunately I do not have it. I met Jim Chace in 1971 when I met his Daughter that I subsequently married in 1980 , however he had sold the Cord in 1970 to a Man he said litterly camped out on his front lawn in Lyons New York till he relented and sold the Cord in the Barn to him, he needed the Capitol and let it go. He regretted selling it for the rest of his life , he had purchased it off a used car lot in Rochester New York around 1951 it was a decision between a V16 Cadillac and the Cord he told me. I have a letter he wrote to the ACD Company in 1952 and the letter in response from the Company signed by E.C. Bartels , a ACD Company reply envelope folded and 3 faded color photos of the car itself that he intrusted to me at his Death 12/21/1995. The car appears to be a 1936 810 Phaeton ( non Supercharged) in Red with a Black soft top. Again sorry for the Easter Egg Hunt but I thought someone would know the general story of origin and we could connect.
Sincerely,
Bill Young

Hi Bill, I would suggest you try Ron Irwin in CA. at 1-562-860-1032. He is very knowledgeable on the history of 810-12 Cords. It would be of much help if you had a serial No. of the car. Ron is not on the computer.
CORDially Mike

Hi Bill, wellcomme to the ACD-forum. Please show us some pictures that you have, as we love to see period pic's. This would be best to find the current owner of that car. with grasey fingers, philipp <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

Hello,
I am Bill Young from Rochester New York. I am seeking the owner of a 1937 Cord 810 Phaeton that was purchased around 1970 From Jim Chace in Lyons New York. I have photos of the car and a letter from Cord he or she would be interested in. Jim was my Fatheri n law and he is now Deceased , yet he spoke to me often about his beloved Cord , perhaps the present owner would be interested in conversing.
Sincerely,
Bill Young
