Hi.
Just for giggles, I am posting (I hope--we'll see) a photo taken in 1950 when my Cord became part of the family. It shows the generator (3rd brush type) pretty well centered over the intake manifold.
Enjoy.

Henry,
The Ivory one is mine. I will paint the mount properly. It is odd to me that the generator is not directly centered. Even though it is off of center, the belt appears to line up just fine.

Mike, If the ivory car is yours then your mounting bracket is the correct one(not the correct color; silver zinc or cad) for the 28 amp Autolite generator (GCO4804A if I remember correctly). Your generator appears to be correct, I can't see the end towards the front very well to be sure. Most of the time I have seen the left hand support mounted the other end up. Henry

I have seen multiple pictures of generators that are centered over the engine and just one picture that has the generator off to the right (passenger side) of the center. My mounting bracket lines the generator up on the right of center. I do not have a super charger. Can any one clarify if what I have is correct and will work properly? Thanks.
