The book is out of print but you will find it on ebay. He also will have a new book out on Cords later this year.

You might work with a cord owner in the ACD Club and have him evaluate the car with you. Now would be a good time to join the club and gain knowledge about these outstanding automobiles from individuals who really know. You will find the membership form on this web-site.

This Cord is an 810. You will find it listed in Josh Malks book "Cord 810/812 The Timeless Classic". The factory started numbering the cars at 1000 so your's would have been the 679 th built.

If you want your Cord's history contact Ron Irwin who has many ownership records. He is listed in the front page of the Newsletter.

Cord 810 Westchester Plate Numbers was created by Zedintheshed
I am looking at a Cord 810 Westchester restoration Project and I would like to check the plate numbers with the knowledgeable people on this board.
The numbers on the plate read.
Model No. 810
Serial No. 1679A
Engine No: FB904

The Body number is C90 774

The numbers are stamped and the plate looks pretty old.
I have done some searching on this board and I have the following questions:
Isn't this serial number a bit late for this to be an 810? shouldn't it be an 812? I thought only 1629 810's were made?
Apart from the fact that this is a total restoration project is there anything else I should look out for to ensure it is all genuine?

Thanks very much for your help - a great Website and forum you have here.
