Models and toys --- photos and info wanted

Hi Josh,
This is more a question about the value of a model, back in 1967 I purchased an amt 1937 Cord 812 convertible coupe 1/12 scale. I figured at that time this would be the closest I would ever get to owning a Cord. I never completed the model, I painted the body and started assembling the frame and engine and today that where it stands. All the parts are still in the original box and most the parts are still on the plastic trees. Does this model have any value?

I know it's Feb 15th now, but I just saw this post. My Dad has an original rubber toy Cord from the 30's when he was a kid. I could take a photo of it tonight if you don't have one of these yet. If I remember right, it's a dark green rubber color.

What I need are well-lit [i:1p0ez2df]sharp[/i:1p0ez2df] photos on neutral backgrounds of as many of these items as you care to have included. All that you mentioned are desirable. You will, of course, receive credit in the book.

Deadline is February 15. If possible, a list by January 31 of what you plan to send would be a big help.

I have Gerald Wingroves brass masters of a sedan and phaeton for an aborted run of pewter models.I also have GW prototype cuff links and tie pin in silver of the sedan,an Avon aftershave bottle,various models,sales info etc.
Is this stuff of use,and when is your deadline?

Ads and sales brochures.

I don't have any miniature Cords but I am assembling an original literature collection. Will your book include a comprehensive listing of original sales brochures and other promotional materials?

As the creation of my new book CORD COMPLETE approaches an end, I need to fill in some gaps.

A planned chapter is tentatively titled "Cords in miniature" and is to include photographs and descriptions of Cord models and toys over the years. These include rubber, glass, pewter, die cast, stamped steel and plastic versions. While I have some of these I certainly don't have all.

If you have a model or toy Cord or a sharp photograph of one please contact me. (And don't assume that I already have it!) Photos and information used will receive credit in the book.
