Hi DCDB, equaly i have fun to see the pic's of your car and hopefully progress. As you are stripping donnorcars, you might have double parts, that you dont need, please let me know, as there are some parts that are missing on my car and we might be able to help eachother.

Actualy i was wrong about the putty and layers of paint on my car, all there is, is sound steel ( exept floor but not too bad ) original primer, original Palmbeachtan color an an other layer of grey primer no putty on other place than the rear lower panel and Bustletrunklid which is lightley dented. At one point the frontfloor was replaced with a flat steelboard that is flexing if you stand on it, like the whitemetalfrogs that jumps after the material streches out again.
Keep us up to date with some pic's too.
Cordially Philipp <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

The more i know, the more i realize that i don't know enough.

I am really enjoying this thread. Keep the posts coming Phillipp. I think I will likely never see many of the parts you are showing and I have had fun guessing at the parts before they are identified. (I even got the heater right !)

Your project looks like it would be a great deal of fun. This stage must be just like Christmas morning; unwrapping everything and seeing what you have got!

Right now on our project I am still at the stage of stripping one of the donor vehicles and searching for another. Also trying to dig up some more history on the car. Now that I have the wood stove fixed in the shop I might even be able to get back out there this week (-35C today... Brrrr)

All the Best!

Hi Philipp, Item #5 not Cord- not Philco or Crosley for Cord. #9 &amp; 11 are no good master cylinder parts . # 14 not Cord. #10A is for a sedan -uses a flat head screw &amp; countersunk washer to hold to the wood center winshield divider, convertible one is different ; has threads on it . H

No 5. is a knob made of backelite 0.511 inch ? and 0.393 inch high, to me it looks like a radioknob that may fit either to a philcoradio or a speakerkontrol.

NO 9. and 11. what do you mean by " mcyl part " ??

I think No 14 was not answered, if i looked right ?

Manny thanks for your patiance to explane these parts.

Hi Henry , thanks for your help again.
The speedodrive has number 92143 , how is it mounted in the timingchaincover ? I guess it should be a bronce bearing that holds it to the cover ? Have you got a pic how it should look like ?

The more i know, the more i realize that i don't know enough.

Your car's original number is 310121 S. Originally had Super Charged engine FC 2625. It was replaced by FB 1811. The body number is
C 105 171. The car was owned in 1972 by C. Audet in Claifornia. This information is from Ron Irwin's Master Cord List. Hope this is helpful to you and corrects a lot of information.

In my copies of ACD Club Directories there is a David J. Hellman in the 1969 through the 1973-1974 directory. He doesn't show up after that. His address was 2360 Serrano Road, San Bernardino, AC 92405. In 1969 he list his occupation as a Social Worker, in subsquent years as a teacher. His Cord is listed as a 812 Sedan.

I hope this helpsd?

Hello out there,
here are more parts that i would like to ask one of you to identify, if you can. It's still my '37 basket-case 812 Custom beverly SC/stanard mix.
Correct thrououtbearing ?

SC-camschaft ? Is the drivinggear for the supercharger normaly shrunk or pressed on the silver part right after the middlebearing ?

Doese someone recall a person or workshop related to the name " D.G. Hellman " who registered obviusly my Cord KAX 514 the last time 1974 for Mr. C.C. Audet

Correct Radiator with original honeycomb-patern ?

I found some engine-parts wrapped up in this newspaper " S.A. Examiner Jan. 24. 1967 " . Is that a speedogear ? Who knows where the S.A. Examiner was based or mainley distributed. This date marks one of the worst hurrykans that have destroyed St.Louis county since 1967.
Most likley the engine and stubframe was changed then from SC to standard.

What are these parts ?

Tis is a pic of the current stubframe 1482 fitted to my car.

For any help thank you, this is very aprisiated. :D

The more i know, the more i realize that i don't know enough.
