Thanks for the offer, Phil. I have an original core that, unfortunately, is unusable. So I know what the correct size, pattern, and construction are. I would be interested in the contact information for your friend who makes cores.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I can recommand a friend of mine who produces new honeycombradiators him self in top quality any shape and thinckness as required, i could lend my radiator of my sc-custom beverly basket case as template if you like.
I can send you a pic with all size of radiator to make sure it's the right one.
Let me know if you would be interested. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

How important is the "pattern" of the radiator core to an 810/812 restoration?
I'm about to reconstruct a radiator from two old radiators and a new set of tanks from George Ehresman. Obviously I need a new core, but I'm torn between one that looks like the original ("honeycomb" or "Auburn" pattern) and a more modern style, efficient core. The original style cores seem to be available, but have some distinct disadvantages: they are reputed to be much less efficient, they take many months to obtain, they cost at least $1500, and they are apparently made offshore, probably in China. No one will admit where they get them, and I refuse to buy a core from a totalitarian government-run economy that oppresses its citizens.
I've seen modern cores on some very high-quality restorations lately. Is an 810/812 marked down in judging if it has a modern core? I'd like to have a car that cools properly, but I always prefer authenticity and don't want to lose points.
Also, where can I find a pattern and description of the original cardboard (?) shrouds for the radiator?
