Philipp, Two questions you asked not answered. Lift of the cam lobes is the same however they do have different valve timing & dwell ( not obvious). There is no difference between S/C cylinder heads & standard cylinder heads. The upholstery in your car appears to be original . 31361F Henry

810s had a rectangular handle as yours does. 812s had a small round key lock, no handle. Understand that there were occasional exceptions to every Cord standard. They may just have had a set of 810 doors sitting around. Or, the buyer may have requested them. Or, someone may have switched them in the past 70+ years.

If there is a SC-timingchain fitted to the engine, could one conclude that with that beeing a fact, there is also a SC-camshaft mounted in the engine ?
As one would think if the chain and camtimingwheel is wider, the camshaft would be longer too, right ?

Are the lobes of the camshaft higher or wider on the peak than standard ?
How can the SC-heads be identified from the standard heads ?

Anyhow, i aprisiate your technical knowledge, sharing with me and other intrested fellow club members.

Henry, I never like making suggestions to senior scholars of Cord, however I think that the s/c chain is .500 inches wider then std. making it 1.750 in width

Philipp, I can't answer all your questions exactly because I didn't take the time to measure each part , but this should sufice . The standard t/c is 1.25 " wide & the cover is a steel stamping with a cast iron tach adapter bolted to it . The S/C t/c cover is an aluminum casting (a picture exists showing a stamped housing but I have never seen a real stamped steel one in 60 years of Cords) .The S/C t/c is about .250 " wider than the standard engine t/c . You have a big restoration ahead of you ! 31631F Henry

Timing-chain was created by oldbanger71
Hi out there, i'm about to identifie some of the parts i've got with my Custom Beverly i bought latley and picked up last week in Switzerland.

What is the width of a standard timing-chain compared to a supercharged one ?

What is the deepness of the timingchain-cover compared to standard and supercharged ?

Any numbers to identifie ?

Many thanks in advanced for your help.
