In true Cord 810/812 clean design, perhaps eliminate the beltline altogether.

It allredy has nine louvers to reach bonnet hight to the cowl, so a other louver on top would maybe help the line but would make it more a caricature
of it campared louver hight / bonnet.
I would blanke off the top louver over the cutout for exhaustpipes and would connect the sideline to the next lower louver, the other louvers i would extend graduly, the lowest would be the shortest like a spreaded wing.
Maybe i can convince my brother to draw a scetch if time permits, as he was a designer of art center, Passadena and Switzerland.

In any case this body will require extensive work to get it well done and looking right. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

The more i know, the more i realize that i don't know enough.

It would be easier to do something with the hood, I think. Perhaps add another row of those unique Cord wraparound louvers.

I sure would like to see this finished. I think it would be a show stopper, depending on the tastes of the project coordinator. Hopefully it will look real, as opposed to wide tires, modern wheels, etc. I'm still amazed at how well proportioned it all is. It's as if it were designed to be that way by Gordon, himself (or maybe it was and I just don't know).

If the beltline were lowered it could run into the top louver around the hood.

Cord speedster was created by Josh Malks
On eBay at 200274097565: Buehrig from the windshield forward, Buehrig from the seat back rearward, and Leamy in the middle. Sure wish I were younger. (And wanted a street rod.)
