Greetings All,
I am trying to get a friendly Cord maven who can happily give my Dad a dream wish. He's about to turn 80 but has never had a ride in a Cord. He fell in love with the car as boy in Ohio. He has never stopped talking about it. We've bought him scale models forever (they're all over the mantle) and now I would like to surprise him with a ride in the real thing. This will be a HUGE happy event for the man and he is not going to be around too much longer. He's a retired English professor and track coach, who also was on the 1949 Northwestern Rose Bowl Champs team. The whole family is driving from Long Island (NY) to the Adirondacks where my dad camped and was a camp counselor in the 50's on Sept 5-8. It would be great to time it on the trip up (Sept 5) or down on Sept 8. Otherwise, in that next day Sept 9 in the NYC metro area.
