I don't know if Henry is right or wrong I just know that I have two Cords built around the end of July 1936. The Westchester has the screws on the top of the shields while the phaeton has them hidden. I think it is like Josh has told me. Nothing is for sure when you come to what the factory did.

pete rhoads, restoring 810 phaeton 2241 H

Gents- The restoration of ol' 2241H is coming along, albeit very slowly. I'm starting to think about the fenders, and wonder what style gravel shields I need. This car was built around the end of July '36 they tell me, and I don't know if I should be looking for Shields with the concealed screws along the top or visible ones.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
