Henry:

Sorry for not being specific. I was referring to the rubber bushing in the jacket tube. The rubber seal in the steering box (which I presume seals the horn wire tube) appears to be in good condition. I'm also interested in any information (part number or correct material) for the bushing in the steering box that supports the sector /roller shaft.

CORDially, Mike

Mike , Are you referring to the rubber inside the steering box or the bushing in the jacket tube ?

I disassembled my steering box to correct too much play. I've sourced the parts needed. Now I've decided to replace the sector shaft bushing and would like to also replace the rubber bushing in the lower portion of the steering column.

Can anyone assist with:

a) a source or the correct material for the sector shaft bushing; and
b) a source for the rubber bushing in the lower portion of the steering column. I know you can buy replacements for V8 Fords, but I don't know if the are similar dimensions to Cord.

Thanks, Mike
