thats a great idea. every time i need josh's excellent book at some auction where i need to check the numbers on a car, i always forget to bring it with me. i would love to be able to access those appendices on the internet. why i would even be able to pay for the privilege. a new way to generate some cash for the club.

How about creating a searchable PDF of your book and we'll put it online. That way your book can be "self-service" and the others won't have to ask questions.

Thanks Josh. I just turned the last few pages of War and Peace last night and am planning on diving into yours next! On the other hand, I have also found that talking with the incredibly engaging and knowledgeable folks in the club, like you, has enriched the Cord experience even more than I could have imagined.

I must be getting grumpy in my old age, as one of my friends kindly pointed out to me. It's just that you would get so much more info (and I hope enjoyment) out of reading some of the existing sources, not just mine.

Best estimates of the number of supercharged phaetons is 196, out of 600-610 built in 1936 and 1937.

Hi Josh, thanks for your reply. I will keep my forbidden questions to a minimum. I have to believe that just about every question that has ever been asked on the Forum has already been answered and committed to writing somewhere that the inquirer was unaware of at the time of their question. Since you have the book; can you tell me how many super charged Phaetons were made in 1937? You are a great resource for certain. Thanks again.

My book is long beyond the royalty period, so I get no financial compensation if you buy one on eBay or elsewhere. But, respectfully, why ask questions to which the answers are in print?

See Cord 810/812: The Timeless Classic, page 234.

I have been reading several earlier posts to try to determine which of the numbers of total and individual production of the various 1936-37 models is correct? So far, it seems like the Cabriolet number is in general agreement. It gets a little sketchy from there. Any idea on how many Phaetons, 1936 and 1937, both standard and supercharged there were? Still exist? Thanks!

Mark
