All 1936 and 1937 Cords were produced with mechanical fuel pumps, not electric. Dealer installed electric pumps were added to many Cords (especially top mounted pumps) to help with hot Cord engines vapor locking the fuel system. Most of us use an eletric pump or both today.
My husband and I are in the process of restoring a 1937 Westchester and are wondering if Cords were ever produced without an electric fuel pump? If so, when were they produced?
