The parts you describe will all work together. The u-joint housing (or "knuckle") is for an 810, and probably came on the car. The Bendix joints may well have been retrofitted to this car in early 1937, when the original Rzeppa joints became noisy.

U joints on a 1936 Cord was created by stroker
Gents- I'm confused. A long time ago I bought an unrestored '36 Phaeton which it turned out was in some instances an accumulation of Cord parts patched together and sold to a nummy customer, namely me.

It wasn't too bad on the whole; however, the front U-joints seem to be a mixture of '36 Rzeppa parts and the later Bendix parts.

This is what I have:

-2 Good Bendix U-joint axles- runout of .025" and .039" (taken at
gap between ball yokes)

-2 "bells" each with ~3" long tubes thru which the axle passes. These
are the kind which need the 2 wavy washers and 1 flat washer to
control runout (of which I need three more wavy washers and 1
flat washer).

-2 '36 type cast iron hubs which have the large 5-6" brass castelated
nut to hold in the bell. (of which I need at least one more nut).

Everything else on the front end seems to be authentic 1936 stuff.

Question I have is this gonna work for me or do I have to get Rzeppa U joints? I don't want to change the hubs to the bolt on brass plate type (1937?)
Am I all wet?

Thanks in advance for your help.
