The hood operates fine. Just too heavy to lift with bad shoulders Has anyone added a lift sonewhere under hood ?

What exactly is the problem? Is the hood latch broken or not releasing from the grille, is the hood prop not working correctly, are the two hinges from hood to cowl frozen, need more information before suggesting a fix. Note early hoods with the reinforced braces are heavier than the latter hoods.

Does anyone know how to fix the hood so it can be lifted without pulling your arms out out their sockets . Mine is WAY too heavy . Has anyone added an actuator ?
