After waiting over a week for the 1936 Ford door springs to arrive, I discovered I could not use then as they were coil bound when fitted.Consequently I have used the larger spring from the 1939 lock.

I have discovered that Ford door locks from the 1930s are identical to those used in the Cord. The attached pictures show my rear door lock assembly together with a 1939 Ford door lock. The only real difference is in the spring.
The 1936 Ford door lock springs are the same as those used in the Cord 810
If you look closely at the last picture the Lock appears to have been made in England.
I would have thought Ford had their own unique design.

AC Parts is not responding to emails. It is very difficult to contact Stan.
I think I have a solution in the form of a door lock spring from a 1936 Ford.
I am waiting for them to arrive and will post what transpires.

Rear Door Spring ................. Replacements was created by Terry Cockerell
One of the rear door springs broke. I am looking for a suitable replacement.
Early Ford door springs look similar.
Can anybody suggest a suitable replacement?
