I would guess they would be hard to make. They have a very thin wall thickness.

I understand the starter may have three bushes in it. One in both ends of the motor and one in the tailshaft housing. If you need to make any bushing I suggest using 660 bronze material.

Thanks for Stan’s number. I was hoping to get two bushes locally rather than wait for O/S delivery and have them ready for when I pull the starter.
Not a major problem, more one of time and convenience.

Try contacting Stan Gilliand in Kansas. His shop business in the 810 812 Cord cars is located in Wellington. Phone number is
620-326-7751. They are not open monday thru Friday any longer and last I heard Stan was in the hospital with serious health issues. Carol may be able or maybe someone else is available to answer the phone.

Terry, the only thing I’m sure of is that if I pull it apart every size bush will be available except the size I want !

Graham, I thought New Zealanders were resourceful people.
Make Do Specialists .......................... isolated from the rest of the world.
Can't tell you the sizes but you will be sure to find a substitute.
Cheers mate,
Terry
