Pat the simplest solution is to block the coolant from entering the inlet manifold completely. My engine ran fine with the coolant just passing through the heads.
There is a vent hole in the top of the block that connects with the inlet manifold. This needs to be sealed off with a tapered plug.

Don't know much Pat but Ray Parker had simillar problem and he had a leak on the bottom of the intake manifold where a hole had formed from corrosion. Maybe a hole in one of the intake runners?

I recently had a problem with my Cord Taxi. When driving home from a car show, with my wife following in her 1956 Packard 400, I started to see some white smoke. Made it home OK. Well I finished my head gaskets on the taxi, but it didn't fix water in exhaust system. 2 left cylinder seems to be the one with water. It had low compression before installing new head gasket (40#). After installation I have 70#, other cylinders are similar. It may
also be adding water to oil. Intake manifold water leak?
