Compasses are too hard to come by, so I made my own with some assistance from other ACD Club members.
It's comforting to know you are heading in the right direction.

I'll post photos after the holidays. This may warrant a new thread.

I think Pete is referring to the “wind wings” on the front doors. Based on the picture of your car and the picture on page 287 of Cord Complete it does appear that you have the correct accessory wind wings. I would think that these are pretty rare.
Best regards,
Bill

I have no idea as to what "no draft window vents" are or what they look like.
Help me out here.
Cheers,
John

My guess is a previous owner added the supercharger to a standard engine, posibly the original engine and at the same time cut the extra vents in the hood to allow the heat to escape.

One RHD Cord out here gained some similar louvers very early in its life.
The attached pictures were take in 1937.

But, why is the engine painted red?

Looking at Ron Irwin’s files, it is a known Cord, but he did not have the CMC number. I will forward all the pictures to Ron for his files. He does not use email.
CORDially, Tim.

You have been rewarded for thinking of the people who wish to bring the family Cord back home. Well done.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and safe New Year.

Very happy you got this treasure. Its a Cord with plenty of questions to be answered.
I would love to know why its supercharged with inside exhaust. Why is it a smooth interior like a Westchester but has a bustle trunk like a Beverly. As to why this car has the manual shift instead of the complex vacuum manual electric shift I sure that's explained because some previous owner couldn't keep it shifting and wanting to "drive it trouble free" chose the manual. My Beverly came with a manual shift. Henry Portz is the only club member to actually see it in 1977 but had no idea what it was.
