safety glass dates

I agree with Curt that 1935 and 1936 Auburns have safety glass in the windshield and side windows. I want to say it has LOF marking (aks Libby Owens Ford).

I believe 31 -33 cars have a Duplate emblem on the glass.

Also, emblem is strategically located.

For the Duplate emblem you may ant to reach out to Levine Restorations - they reproduced the last examples that I saw.

Curt's template/kit for the LOF emblem is NICE.

I disagree, 1934 - 1936 Auburns came with LOF glass. The LOF logo is etched into each piece on the very bottom corner. I have had many Auburns with original glass, including Al Gengnagels all original 35 653 sedan, which has the LOF logo date coded on each piece. I can supply you a stencil kit that you
can apply your self and the date code of your choice. email me for details.

The Corvette guys have a way of putting the date code on windshields. Don't know if it could be done for Auburn though.

A question for anyone who has replaced their windshield glass. Is the new replacement glass stenciled with the mfg and date, or is the new piece cut from a larger (genaric) piece of laminated glass, and depending on where it was cut, May not have the date/code on it.
could I then have any date applied?
