YEARS ago there was one on display at the Museum.it was dark blue as I remember. A nice car,but not flashy or really unique looking.it had the "leatherette" type top,but no rack.
I did not know that they were so rare (then or now)

Check out my build at:

Hello The 7pass sedans were longer wheelbase and a totally different roof the top material was an imatation leather ie waterproof and the roof was built to carry a load . Roof racks were on a number of these cars. R

Thanks for the information! I'm glad to hear there are still a couple out there. Hopefully I'll have the chance to see one someday.

That video is very interesting. I saw 2 different 7 passenger sedans. Both of them appeared to have dark roofs - I wonder if they painted the fabric?

One of them also had a roof rack. I've never seen that on a 31-32 Auburn. I wonder if they had to reinforce the wood frame under the top or how they did that?

Anybody know?

Justin

I have personally seen one of them. It was @ the Kruse auction in Auburn many years ago when I was in the market. I considered bidding, but it was too long for the garage space I had then. I think that car is in Florida now.

It occurred to me that I've never seen any 7 passenger sedans. Were many built? Do any survive?
