The Model a should be most likely nickel. R

I have an unmolested 33,000 mile 653 sedan survivor that is a time capsule.
The door handles are butler finish (very fine scratches) plated with electro-less nickel. The window cranks are the same with metal knobs.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Be of Good Cheer

1931-1936 interior hardware is Butler finished ie brushed chrome . It is a scratched surface in a straight line then chrome plated. R

Hello Auburn folks

who knows if at 1931 Auburn Phaetons all interior and exterior parts were already chromed? Possibly some interior parts were still only Nickel plated?
I found some discussion around this topic in the AACA forum, where some people the use of Nickel plating stated up to 1933???

Thanks
Andreas
