Dave is refering to the Jim Brockman records. They show the cars sold but the O'Donnel Mackie Auburn dealership in Toronto. They are available at the ACD Museum along with all Jims records. They are also available in the Newsletter. Jims pictures are on this web site.

I saw it on the CD. Best money I have spent on my project so far! Lots of good information. The information I was refering to was a list of cars going to Canada. It also list the color of the car. I didn't see your numbers but there were some close.

The ACD newletter dated 1999, issue 1, pages 6 thru 10, has a list of 1931 and 1932 cars with serial # and engine #. It's not all cars but it might get you closer. I think your engine is 1932.

Thanks for the additional info Andy. I posted the engine # previously (GU 70554) but still don't have any solid leads on date of manufacture. Anybody else have an idea on this one? Thanks.

From what I understand, the factory would order "X" amount of frames based on sales projections for the upcoming year.the frame Mfg (Midland steel?) Would just stamp them 1-5000 for example and ship to connersville or Auburn. Without big (engineering) changes the frames from 31-32 are pretty much the same. The factories would just assemble the autos.the archive info that I have seen just lists what style (cabriolet, sedan, etc) and how many of each were produced in a particular month.
All in all,we are looking back at production and serial numbers interested in info that they thought was of little or no importance in the 1930's
The engine number will probably get you closer to the year and build date/month

I found the #'s 1188 and 188 stamped on my frame.
Can anyone tell me if this would be a 1931 or 1932 model car?
