I know you have a downdraft carburetor but here is how it is hooked up on my updraft if that helps at all. The throttle rod is on the other side of the carburetor. You might find a good picture of your carburetor on the internet. Dave

The problem I am having is I do not understand how both the lever and gas pedal can be connected to the same point on carburetor. Can you please explain or show a photo on how the gas pedal and push lever are connected. This may be a dumb question but I truly do not understand exactly how the two connections are. Thanks

A hand throttle is just that. You engage it by hand and you have to disengage it also. It dosn't disengage when you push on the gas. At least thats how 35-36 Auburns and L-29 Cords work.

I understand that it is a hand throttle. Just not sure how it disengages when you step on the gas. I am sure that the hand throttle does not continue to go in and out when the gas pedal is depressed. I cannot find in my literature how it is hooked up.

It's not a cruise control, basically just a hand throttle. Not sure how it hooks up to your downdraft, tho Mason can probably help with that.

Where and how does the gas pull button located on the dash, hook up to the carburetor? Does it hook up in a different location than the gas pedal linkage? Does it disengage when you step on the gas pedal? I know the intent, just not sure of how it connects. Can anyone help? A photo would help. Thanks
