Mine came off with some gentle blows on the backside with a rubber mallet.

Also, a friend of mine drilled and tapped some holes in the center hub and used a regular puller on it, as well. No damage done to the steering wheel.

I need to remove the steering wheel from 35 Auburn, so I can replace steering box/shaft.
I have removed the Dual Ratio tube, and the steering wheel nut, but can't get wheel loose.
Suggestions? I don't want to damage wheel, so don't want to use a gear puller, and didn't find any internal threaded holes for pulling.

Thanks.
