I saw the exact same setting, except with a Packard in front of a travel trailer. It was in a Packard book printed by Kanter.

Hi guys,

This article gives more info on the Curtiss Aerocar, including the hitch mechanism.

It would have to be a fifth wheel set up, there is now way the car could hold up that much weight. the wheels on the trailer are way back. The car and the trailer do line up, so again fifth wheel.
My 2 Cents

Randy, I believe that car was sold and it went over seas.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Looks to me as the picture is staged, unless it's a fifth wheel Auburn

A very interesting photo of Phillip Wrigley's Curtiss Areocar being pulled by a beautiful supercharged Auburn. We would like to know more about the car and also the hardtop.

Stop by theoldmotor.com/?p=23576 to see four enlargements with plenty of detail.
