The car is in the LaPorte County Historical Society's museum in LaPorte, IN, on loan from its longtime owner. It is pictured in front of that building in the book, with the owner miscredited as the ACD Museum. The RHD and the badge on the grille are visible in both photos.

At the time is was at Auburn I believe an east coast dealer owned it. I suspect it was resold. How do you know it is the same car Chris?

Bear with me when I get all misty-eyed about my (recent) youth:

I grew up with the Nicky Wright-illustrated Nick Georgano books. "The Art of the Automobile" has a couple beautiful shots of that beautiful car in it. Thinking about it, those photos were probably the first time I ever saw an Auburn speedster.

That said, in looking at those photos 1,000 times, I never noticed that car was RHD.

Roger, do you have Steve Trott's speedster in your list? Steve is in New Zealand.

Right Hand Drive 851/2 Speedsters was created by Rogerlearmonth
I wonder if anyone can help. I am currently researching the history of my 1935 851 SC Speedster. It is a right hand drive car and I am also collecting all the information I can find on all the other right-handed Speedsters 851/2s built. With the help of several experts I have currently identified eight cars. Two of which are in the US and have been converted to left hand drive. I have quite good history on and images of one of the cars but virtually nothing on the other. Rather than quote serial numbers on forum I would be most grateful to hear from anyone who owns or has information on originally right-handed Speedsters.

Subject to the approval of current owners I will be happy to publish what I have when it has gone as far as I can take it.
