The hood ornment is secured to the grill shrowd with a #8 flat head screw in the back and a wedge with a stud that slides into the base.
I believe the Auburn script and the 851/2 are secured with #2 studs, nuts and washers.

As I have taken the car apart, I have came upon many interesting things. One is the way the AUBURN name and the hood orniment is attached to the grill surround. Is it correct to use screws with adjustment nuts to attach these parts? That is how mine are attached.
