Mine has a 51-10
The pass side axle shaft at the inner seal measures 1.375 or 1 3/8"
The driver side at same spot measures 1.406 or 1 13/32"
Has anyone ever seen this before.
All comments appreciated.

The book lists five different ratios for the single speed but only one for the D/R. The 51-10 was used in 1934 and 1935 to 851 s/n 2745. After that the 43x10 was used. I believe I have seen other ratios, but don't see them in the book.
Yes, the axels are different sizes, they are all like that. Auburn used one seal p/n E62686; snug on the LH not so much on the RH. Modern neopreme seals are much more forgiving than the older felt seals.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Yes, I had to use two differant size seals also. The differance has to do with the speedo drive. My ratio is 43x10 which I'm told is correct for Speedster.
CORDially Mike
