As far as the points, I had my dual point distributor on a Sunn machine, which would give you the best settings.

I can't speek for the fuel in New Zealand but I have no running issues with the fuel in the U.S. I use timing as per spec. One of the major fuel missues is usually OLD FUEL thats been in the tank too long. If that is not the problem its probably something other than fuel. There are point syn. tools which work great for syn. points but lacking one of them any shop with a dist. machine should be able to syn. your points.
One guys opinion. CORDially Mike

HAS ANYONE EXPERIMENTED WITH IGNITION TIMING SETTINGS TO GET A BETTER RESULT FROM MODERN FUEL?
HOW MANY DEGREES BEFORE TDC DO YOU USE AND HOW DO YOU ENSURE CORRECT SYNCHRONISATION OF YOUR DUAL POINTS.
THANKS STEVE
