There were 942 6 & 8 cyl conv sedans built as 1934's.
There are approx 22 known to exist.

I own a 34 652Y sedan and I know there are very few left out there (Randy Ema can probably give you the exact number). Only just over 4,000 were made in their short production run. Mine is stock and pretty much the most dependable vintage car I have ever owned. Mine is simply wonderful in parades and has done very well on trips to the post office and Wal-Mart. In other words it gets used pretty much like it was used 70 years ago.

I am confused...............after approximately 12 years performing certification checks on Auburns, I never saw a vin number on top of the frame forward of the front axle. My 1930 8-125 had the chassis number stamped on the passenger side of the extreme front of the frame where the front of the front spring attaches. Typically, the chassis number is the only number stamped on the Auburn frame. This chassis number is usually found approximately 14 inches back from the centerline of the front axle on the passenger side of frame (left hand drive as reference).
I am very interested to see a pic of the vin number in the location you are referencing.
