Where is Chassis Number on 8-88

Thanks for the reply, I had a look on the chassis where you said and couldn't find anything, so it's either too lightly stamped to see even after I lightly sanded the surface, or is it possible they were stamped in any other place? I mainly looked on the side of the chassis rail, not on the top or underneath, is this right?

The chassis number is on the passenger side ( vehicle right side). If you stand on the side and look where the front tire is, the number is stamped on the frame rail directly behind the rear of the tire.

Good luck as they were most likely lightly stamped.

Dear Everyone

I recently retrieved the remains of an 8-88 (see post late last year called "Is this an 8-88 if not what?") and I can't find a chassis/serial number anywhere. I was told there should be a plate on the toe board or the Dash, but it is missing, so is there a number stamped on the chassis, and where is it?
