Hi Curt ! The 288S and the 307S were from the ( W1 ) carburetor series and were stated as used on Auburn. The 413S was A universal carb coming from the ( WA1 ) carb series. No mention of Auburn on the latter. This is from the carter carb corp book that I have. Hope this keeps you up thinking anyway. Regards
Somewhere I read that Auburn used Carter 413S carburetors on 1934 - 1936 Auburn six cylinders (maybe 850X). In 1934 they started out with 288S then that was superseded by 307S, was 413S just a figment of my imagination?
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
