Auburn in Brazil

Hello. My father has a 1929 Auburn, with the larger 8 cyl engine, which he is trying to restore for a long time. You can imagine how difficult it is here in Brazil. The car had only the front part of the body (up until the firewall) when he bought it, so we do not know which model it is. We started restoring it as a convertible, and the body had to be done (and re-done!!) several times by looking at pictures, books, etc.

Well, since our dream would be to have a Speedster, my question is if anyone has already built a Speedster from scratch, or transformed another model into one. Would it be possible?

Since I noticed there are a lot of info (pictures, blueprints, etc) available at the ACD museum, maybe it would be a good place to start?
